The lobby is very large and impressive and very traditional. In fact, so traditional that it may appear old fashioned

to some. There is a very large lounge area located behind the reception area and one can have a high tea here or a cocktail before heading to the restaurant. There are also impressive views of the canal from the large floor to ceiling windows.
