This family-friendly hotel lies on the coast in the north of Scotland some 28 km to the west of Thurso on the A836 and about 65 km to the north of Helmsdale on the A897. Crowning towering cliffs, this hotel affords fabulous views out over Melvich Bay, Hoy Island and the Orkney Islands. A selection of restaurants, bars/ pubs, a bus stop, the local train station and an array of shops are all to be found within 45 minutes' drive of the hotel. It is approximately 185 km to Inverness Airport.

Housed in a building dating back to 1845, this comfortable country hotel is privately owned and offers a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Surrounded by pleasant gardens, there are 14 rooms available to guests spread over 2 floors. Facilities include a reception area, a bar, a restaurant, a laundry service and a car park.

The newly renovated bedrooms are all centrally heated with en-suite bathrooms. Each comes equipped with digital flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and local information. The main bedrooms can be booked with a view of Melvich Beach and over to the Orkney Islands, while in the Master (superior) rooms this comes as standard. The master bedrooms also have an en suite bath and shower room, and a more spacious living area.

A hearty breakfast buffet is on offer to guests each morning; the evening meal may be taken à la carte or chosen from a menu.
