This hotel is an attractive traditional building dating back to the 17th century, to the times when priests sought sanctuary in the hotel's secret staircases and priest holes.

The lobby is medium in size and have wood panelling on the walls and wooden beams on the ceiling. There are comfy chairs that can seat around 20 guests, there is also a large fire place which gives it that homely feel.

This hotel, originally a 17th-century coaching inn, is close to Banbury Cross. The bedrooms, varying in size and style, are well equipped. Spacious and very comfortable public areas include cosy lounges and an informal bar. Some of the original oak panelling and the black beams are still intact and service is attentive and friendly. Dating back to 1632 with a modern extension to the rear of this elegant hotel is a stone-built former coaching house. Situated by Banbury Cross it`s well placed for visits to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, Warwick and the Cotswolds.
