Occupying the Monterreal Peninsula, this is one of the most extraordinary paradors. It is half a medieval fortress, and the other half consists of stately Galician architecture. It offers an impressive view over the ocean and is surrounded by a walled enclosure, protected by the sea and flanked by a beautiful pine wood. The parador is a 10-minute walk from Baiona city centre and 25 km from Vigo.

The parador has regal and elegant common rooms in which decorative elements from former times abound. The hotel also provides stately living rooms and spacious bedrooms, many with views of the sea. Also included in the grandiose interior is the splendid stone staircase in the entrance hall. This 122-room establishment is fully air-conditioned and provides a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, currency exchange facilities, wardrobe, lift access and a TV room. There are some shops and a bar and restaurant at the hotel. Furthermore guests can make use of the WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services and the car park. There is a playground for younger guests.
