The hotel is in its own two hectres of grounds and has its own small museum of antique Inca pieces, a gift shop, chapel and pond/fountain area. The space, views and nature that surround the hotel are exceptional and the hotel and services are all of good superior tourist standard. 11/05 MQ

The building was originally a monastery founded back in 1678. In 1870 it became the property of a number of Republican families until it was bought and converted into a hotel in 1982. It is a yellow and terracotta stone building. The hotels is formed by various blocks each holding several rooms and there are extensive grounds which belong to the hotel with gardens, shrubbery and flowers with a couple of Lamas.

The lobby is medium in size with stone flooring and wood pannelling throughout. The reception desk is also stone with wood topped desk. In keeping with the rest of the hotel the walls are terracotta and mustard coloured and the lobby also incorporates a seating area directly in front of the reception desk.
