This hotel has lovely public areas, but the rooms, though clean are a little dated. It comes highly recommended nonetheless for its practical location equidistant from Zurich's down town and airport. RY0405
This is a plain, traditional building with a pale pink facade.
Despite the hotel's traditional facade, the lobby is very modern. Huge floor to ceiling windows make it an extremely light area, an impression helped by the pale polished stone floor and light wood and brightly coloured leather furniture.
This hotel is situated in a suburb of Zurich. Links to the transport network can easily be reached on foot, lying about 200 m away. The city centre affords a range of shopping and entertainment facilities and is only a short drive away.
Built in 1895 and renovated in 2002, this hotel comprises a total of 51 rooms spread over 4 floors. There is a bar and an air-conditioned restaurant with non-smoking area available. Guests arriving by car may use car parking and garage facilities.

The rooms vary in size from small to medium size. They are in various styles and states of repair. The oldest are rather dated in appearance with old fashioned furniture and seventies style bathrooms, the more modern rooms are decorated in pale pastel colours and whilst hardly state of the art are more attractive. Looking beyond the style of the rooms, however, they are all clean and comfortable and in good to very good condition as are the bathrooms.
The restaurant is located on the first floor and is huge with a very high ceiling and massive stained glass window at one end. It really comes as quite a surprise given the more modest appearance of the building from the street.
