A 20-minute drive from Aviemore, this Victorian guest house offers free parking and Wi-Fi and home-cooked Scottish breakfasts. Elegant rooms include a king-size or four-poster bed, and all have a flat-screen TV, DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite shower room with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. The breakfast menu features local bacon and sausages and eggs from Strathallan Bed and Breakfast’s own hens. The Strathspey Steam Railway departs from Aviemore and travels to Broomhill, 4 miles from Grantown and seen in the BBC TV drama ‘Monarch of the Glen’.
