Built in the Victorian era by one the area's most famous families.

The lobby is traditionally furnished to a good standard and is medium in size.

This house is located just a few minutes from the M60 (junction 21) and lies in typically English surroundings with historical little villages and undulating moorland. Manchester Airport is about 20 km away and various shopping and entertainment venues are to be found in the vicinity. The nearest bus stop is just a few minutes walk away, lying about 100 m from the hotel.

This hotel is housed in a former manor house that has been lovingly restored and modernised. It comprises 91 rooms of which 89 are double rooms and 2 are single rooms. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a cloakroom, a conference room, a bar and a restaurant with highchairs for infants. In addition, laundry and room services are on offer to guests and it is possible to take advantage of the hotel car park.

Formerely a manor house, over the years the Bower Hotel has been sympathetically extended and refurbished to provide first class public areas and modern, comfortable bedrooms, whilst keeping the original charachter and charm. The 28 Club rooms are much larger than expected in a 3 star hotel. Bedrooms and are ideal for business travellers and families who require more space. Although less than a minutes drive from the M60, the hotel is set well back from the road, nestled in it's own grounds and has free parking for 120 cars. Many of the bedrooms overlook the pretty garden at the back of the hotel.
