Location Information

The hotel is located just above the village of Engelberg. It is situated in its own beautiful park, providing a peaceful location. The hotel has its own little rack railway which has been retired and is no longer in use. An example of the carriage can be seen outside the hotel. There is a new drop off point for coach clients and newly built escalator (to be finished in December 2008) to the hotel to transport guests and their luggage up to the hotel from a coach parking area in the village, since the road up to the hotel is too narrow for coaches.

This charming hotel lies on a south-facing hillside above the Engelberg and enjoys fabulous views out over the village. Majestic mountains and a ski jump are to be found in the area surrounding the hotel and the nearest bus stop is approximately 500 m away. The centre of Engelberg may be reached in just 2 minutes by making use of the hotel's nostalgic funicular.
