Robert Banastre was given the original house by Edward I in the 12th century. The present manor house was built in 1853 and is quite stunning, whilst there are also 2 modern wings added onto the original building.
The lobby area is quite small and cosy, with welcoming staff and a few seats leading into the open plan Lounges.

So forget the bed factories and come and soak up some real luxury at one of the finest Chester hotels. There are a couple of four posters and some super deluxe bedrooms if you're splashing out. More splashing out is available in the indoor swimming pool. Then there's a first class sauna, a proper spa and a well equipped gym.
